Some people probably trace their family's genealogy back through several generations and find that they are distantly related to great figures in American history, maybe Thomas Jefferson or Benjamin Franklin. Not so for me, but it just so happens that I do have a very distant relative who has achieved some level of national notoriety.

Years ago, my grandmother's cousin married the aunt (now deceased) of actress Drew Barrymore. The relationship, which is only by marriage, is shown in the diagram below. Guess this means I was also related to Tom Green for a while. Pretty scary.
